Make Every Moment Count!

I am so excited to begin my journey in the wonderful world of blogging! I can't believe it's taken me this long to start! I'll begin my journey on this particular morning in DeRosaville it was no different than any other(getting Miciah and Lily ready for school, making sure everyone have their packed lunches, dressed properly, etc).I noticed glitter throughout Lily's hair as I combed it.
I asked,"Lily did you know you have glitter throughout your curly cues?,what happened? "

I noticed she hesitated in giving an answer. After a few seconds her response was

" Yes mommy...but I wanted highlights mom!."

At this point I could see my 6 year old was starting to get a little worked up,she looked a little worried and had no idea how I would react. What parent in their right mind want to see their child upset over anything irrelevant, right? And I'm always looking for an excuse to hug my children/ make them laugh anyway.

"Lilybug, you are so beautiful! I LOVE it!"I said excitedly to my daughter.
The look on her face was priceless, I believe my princess walked a little taller today!!

An Unexpected Guest in DeRosaville

I stumbled onto this little guy on a sidewalk while running errands earlier today! Feeling hopeful we can nurse him back to good health and release him back into the wild.Poor baby he's not able to fly! I love his vibrant colors and I've always wanted to actually hold a hummingbird! Lily named this gorgeous bird "Hunny!"
